Improv for Teens: Grades 9-12: Mondays 5:45PM-6:45PM
Improv, also known as improvisation, is defined as the art of acting out a skit without preparation. These classes will work on developing and refining our students’ improv skills. Improv based activities help actors become more fluid with their own words, which also assists them in becoming more at ease with words written by others. Reciting from a script can be not as challenging after overcoming the fear of creating one’s own dialogue in improv. These classes offer our students an opportunity to create their own characters and environments all while having fun in a nurturing and encouraging environment.
